The build sequence

Every home follows the same order: site work and foundation, framing, mechanicals, insulation and drywall, finishes, and final inspections. Knowing the sequence matters because it’s what your draw schedule and milestone payments hang on. Money should follow completed stages, never precede them.

The relationship with your builder

A good builder manages every sub so you don’t have to. Your job is to make the budget and schedule visible, verify milestones, and make decisions fast when the site needs one. That’s the whole partnership.
